Haley and a Science video.

This week at school on Monday we had NO SCHOOL!!

On Tuesday we changed our spots. We get to choose on the SMARTboard. Our names are on the SMARTboard and we have to drag our name to the spot we want. There can only be four people at one table except for Austin’s table. His table can have five people. I’m sitting by Ms. Wasney’s desk and I’m sitting with Emmy, Alyssa and Jayden. We also have a new attendance. We have to tap on the arrow with our name on it and it just flies away. We also had science. We are learning about potential energy and kinetic energy. We watched a video about kinetic and potential energy. It was a Honda Accord commercial. We watched it about 5 maybe 6 times!!

 

On Wednesday we had D.E.A.R. it stands for Drop Everything And Read because it’s I Love To Read month. I read Small Medium at Large. It’s about a girl named Delilah bloom but everyone calls her Lilah. She got struck by lightning and now she can hear her dead grandmother Bubby Dora. We also had Mrs. Whitney as a sub for Social Studies. We are doing an European Explorer project. I am doing John Cabot.

On Thursday we had science. We watched a really awesome video called Caine’s Arcade. It’s about a nine year old boy who built an arcade just out of cardboard boxes. It’s on Ms. Wasney’s blog now. It inspired us for our design projects. We had to pick partners or we could work by ourselves. I am working with a partner. My partner is Madison. We both have super good ideas for the project. We have to figure out a way to make a marble go down a track and change direction, come to a complete stop and change speed. It has to either speed up or slow down. Then we had gym. In gym we are doing sponge polo.

Friday Assembly - hosted by Gr 5!

On Friday we are doing TWAS in the computer lab. We also had an assembly in the morning. The grade 5s hosted it. I was a backup for one of the Olympic speakers. I am SO excited to see the Olympic opening ceremony tonight!! We also did math. We are doing 2 digit x 2 digit multiplication. It is very fun and very easy!!! We are also going to have Health and Girls’ choir. We had music in the morning too. We had to preform our recorder song. It’s called My Heart Soars. My partner was Emmy. We had NO mistakes. Mrs. Knoll said WOW!!!!
