Our Awesome Christmas Concert!

We had our Christmas concert on Tuesday. We had one dress rehearsal and two concerts; one was in the afternoon and one in the evening! We started out with the lighting of the castle; the two ladies in waiting lit the torches. Then lady Dehn entered through the hall and to her throne. Then the grade 4, 5, and 6 choir performed masters in this hall. Taylor P. and Alyssa got solos in that song.  Then the kindergarten class performed a dance and a Christmas carol. It was so cute!!! The grade ones performed a song called song of the crib. It is a German carol. The grade two’s performed an old English dance called what child is this. It was a nice entertaining dance. The damsels and the soldiers of grade 3 did a dance to a song called the march of the three kings. We really liked it a lot. Next the primary (1, 2, and 3) choir sang a song called I saw three ships. Then the town folks of grade four performed a song and dance called the bear dance. It was kind of funny. Then the grade 5 minstrels performed a recorder song called we three kings. It was amazing!!! After the recorder piece, the grade 6 castle guards performed to a song called drum cannon. They also had a little dance during the song. Then the whole choir performed Adiemus. We had four people sing the descant part. It was very beautiful.  After our majesty lady Dehn gave her speech. Then lady Dehn, the royal guards, and the ladies in waiting exited the great hall. We really enjoyed our Christmas concert this year, it was really fun.
