TWAS

Here is the new attendance for
January on the SMARTBoard!
Whew! What a blustery Friday! It looks like we will be inside for all recesses today!

This week at school. In math we were estimating small and large numbers. We went book shopping because some people weren’t reading novels just fact books like Guinness Book of World Records. I picked Small Steps it is really good book. We read a book in class called Holes and that’s kind the prequel to it. In gym we are learning about curling cause Mr. Hargreaves and our gym teacher MS Rand are making a curling rink  but I don’t think were using it today cause there is a blizzard and Its  cold and snow is blowing everywhere and you can’t see anything. In music were learning a new song but I forgot what it’s called. Then we had library I got 2 books: Paper Airplanes and a joke book. And we have choir later today. AAA (Aboriginal Academic Achievement) we had an assembly on Tuesday and an Aboriginal storyteller came and told us a story but he didn’t have enough time to finish it because he was late. In social studies we were looking at New France mapping of French and English land. We have book buddies later today. And then were studying a new subject in science. Forces and simple machines. When we got back from Christmas vacation we made New Year resolutions for school and home and we made crackers. Then we did some French bingo. And on Tuesday we had a show and tell on our Christmas holidays if we went somewhere or what we got.

On Thursday, Duncan visited our class
and told Aboriginal stories.
