New Year's Crackers

Emmy is sharing the first TWAS of 2014 on the blog this week! We really eased into the week because the buses were not running on Monday and Tuesday. Now, we are back into the swing of things!


On Monday the buses were cancelled. Since they were cancelled we only had nine kids in the classroom. It was a laid-back back day. We had music. In music we changed our spots and our partners. I sit at the bottom row beside Haley J. and Taylor T. My new music partner is Haley J.  We did art. The art was a New Year’s name art. We had to do positive and negative squares. It was fun. We played a multiplication game called around the world. Ms.Wasney made it around the world.

On Tuesday no buses were running again. We had more people show up. We made New Year’s resolutions. One of mine was to print neater. Then we made New Year’s crackers. We put our new year’s resolution on our crackers. They look really cool. We had girls’ choir. We are singing The Canoe Song and Distant Shores. Those songs are for the music festival. We are going in a grade 3-4-5 girls’ choir. It is going to be cool having just a girl choir.

On Wednesday we had a substitute. The substitute was Ms. Whitney. We had social studies. We learned about Jacques Cartier’s 3 voyages. It was really easy. In math we did graphing. We graphed about flowers and eye colors it is really fun to do graphing. In gym we played dodge ball. I only got hit once. We had word work. I found the big word. Well actually one of them. It was astronaut.

On Thursday we had book buddies. My buddies are Maja and Ciara. I read them the ginger bread girl. The boys had choir. They are singing the drunken sailor and some other song. We had library with our new librarian, Ms.Bannerman. She is really nice. We did holiday writing. I am not finished yet.

On Friday we are going to do more graphing. I really like graphing. We are going to have music. I think we are doing recorder. We are going to start AAA with Mr.Kapilik. We are going to write our own stories. It was a busy week.
