Today, order forms are being sent home for Day of Pink t-shirts.The Day of Pink takes place on April 9th. It all started in 2007 when 2 high school students in Nova Scotia took a stand against bullying in their school. The students asked all of their peers to wear pink to school after they heard a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt. The Day of Pink campaign brings together schools and communities throughout Canada to wear the shirt and stand together against bullying.
This year, at Bird's Hill School, staff, students, and families have the option of purchasing a t-shirt for $5.00. Order forms are being sent home today and are due back on Tuesday, January 28th.
