On Thursday, March 17, we headed to Lakewood School in St. James to compete in the Music Festival. The students in our class and Mrs. Dyck's class have been working very hard for the last few months to get in tip-top shape! They performed "Shepherd's Hey" and "Splash of Blue" as an Orff ensemble, as well as with other instruments and even a movement piece! During the last 2 weeks we had practices almost everyday! But all of that hard work paid off! They were awarded with GOLD! Yay!Here's Jack's write-up, from his Kidblog account:
Today we went to the music festival. We got gold! I was dancing with 9 other kids.
I was not nervous. Ms. Knoll gave us golden Oreos and Ms. Ross gave us ice Cream
Sandwiches! Yum!
