Outdoor Classroom Day!

All month long, we have been doing David Suzuki's 30x30 Nature Challenge; where we try to spend at least 30 minutes a day outside of our classroom. Lucky for us, the weather has been cooperating!

Today is "Outdoor Classroom Day" and more than one million students from all over the world are getting involved! We walked down to the pits (a round trip of 4km) and did a "paint swatch scavenger hunt". It was so much fun! We even saw some baby goslings, 2 turtles, and lots of birds, geese, and ducks! We then stopped at Memorial Park on Bird's Hill Road for snack and free time!

It was a fantastic morning!

Community Walk!

This morning we headed out for a community walk to check out Katrina's banner. Her design was the only one selected from BHS to recognize East St. Paul's 100th anniversary! It's displayed just across from "Sky's the Limit" Montessori School. We then spent some time at "Memorial Park" on Bird's Hill Road. Everyone loved trying out the different play structures. I may have even been talked into trying a twisty thing . . . thanks Brogan! I think I'm still dizzy! Ha! It was a gorgeous day!
