Textured Hearts

Once again we were Ms. Wasney’s guinea pigs for this art! This art took one week to do. Our  first step was to take tissue paper and crumple it up and slowly and carefully glue it on paper.

Step 2 Ms. Wasney called us up for painting four at a time while the other kids would be reading to self. The most popular choice was orange and blue for the background. Then once we were done we put them on the drying rack and waited for the next step the next day.

Step 3, we had to trim some of the tissue paper off the sides, then we took an oil pastel and started to colour with the pastels on the side. Since the tissue paper was crumbled, the pastel colour looked like veins.

Step 4  was on the same day as step 3 after we did step 3 we had to do step 4 was making a heart with paint all of them Liam`s was a circle shape. And we put them on the drying rack for the next day.

Step 5 was the finale step; we took a black pastel and out lined the heart. Then with a white pastel we made a shine affect by shading one side of the heart, and with a black pastel, shade the other side to make a shadow.

Step 6 for this step all we had to was take a black pastel again all we did was the border of the page

Liam rates this art as 4 and a half out of 5.
Jason rates this art 5 out of 5!
