The SPIN Club has worked hard all October with 2 campaigns. All month long, we were collecting NEW socks for "Socktober". I was blown away that BHS donated 373 pairs of socks for families in need! After school today, I delivered all the socks to Nova House in Selkirk, which is part of the Manitoba Association of Women's Shelters. The socks will be distributed across the province! Wow!
Today, Winnipeg Harvest picked up 88.5 pounds of food that BHS donated as part of the "We Scare Hunger" campaign with Free the Children. At the Christmas Concerts in December, we are hoping to collect non-perishable food once again. As in previous years, the items collected are donated to Abundant Life Church so that hampers can be made for families in our area.Thanks so much for your enthusiastic support of these campaigns . . . especially at such a busy time of the year!
