TWAS

This week at school on Monday we had no School!!!!!!!

On Tuesday we had the netbooks. We worked on our

expert project. I finished mine and I’m presenting on the 28^th. For my second one I’m doing synchronized swimming. We also changed spots. I am sitting with Taylor P, Taylor T and Chelsea. Then Jayden presented her expert project. She researched Katy Perry.

On Wednesday Emily, Taylor P and Hailey B presented their expert projects. Emily did Figure skating, Taylor did her dad and Hailey did makeup. Then we had gym. We played three ball Baseball. We used tennis balls. We had to throw them and if we hit the wall we got a homerun. If we hit really high then it would be a grand slam. Ms. Whitney was also our substitute for the afternoon.

On Thursday Madison presented her expert project. She Researched Chinchillas. Then we went to the computer lab. We worked on our expert projects. I got the history on synchronized swimming and the water shows. Then we did math. We worked on a paper about remainders. 

On Friday we are doing TWAS in the computer lab. We had an assembly about the volunteers. Then we had an extra-long recess!!!!! Today we also have book buddies. My book buddy’s name is Chantal.

TWAS

This week at school on Monday some of the girls and boys went to a basketball tournament. The boy’s tournament was at our school and the girls were at Maple Leaf. I did not go because I am not in basketball. I just went to Ms. Tresoor’s class for pretty much the whole day. When I finished all my work I got to go and play with Haley L. in room 8 it was really fun. We played doctor. We had gym but I do not remember what we did in gym.

On Tuesday we had an introduction to acrostic poems. Me and Alyssa wrote a poem about Ms. Wasney. It was really funny. We went to the computer lab to work on our expert projects. Now I am all done my research and I just have type everything now then I get to start my final project. In math we started equality. I sort of get and I sort of don’t get it.

On Wednesday a hand bell choir came. It is a choir where they just play bells. It was really cool because our old music teacher Mrs. McRorie was the director. In science we had a sort and predict paper. We had to sort body parts in to the correct system. In gym we did soccer. My team was Alyssa, Haley J, Taylor P and Ted. We won 2-0!!!

On Thursday we had gym we played soccer baseball. It was a really close game because the score was 7-6. I did a really good kick that took them a while to get it to the hoop that it had to go in. in social studies we did something on new France it was really hard. In math we did equality. I am really not a big fan of it because it is a bit tricky.

On Friday we had book buddies. We made flowers for the volunteer appreciation thing. They are really cool flowers. We are having hot lunch. I did not order hot lunch so I got subway. We are going to have gym and library at the end of the day. We are going to have French. Some people are showing g there sandwich show.

It was a busy week!!

Top Secret Art for Mother's Day!

This week we have been working on our Mother’s Day art. The first step was to rip up some novel scraps and glue them down on paper. Then we let them dry then the next step was to paint the background. After that we let it dry for a little bit. Then we drew our trees on the paper with a Sharpie. Some of us cut up fabric to make circles and then we glued some smaller circles on. Then we made some cards and decorated a large envelope. We used all reusable materials to create this art!

TWAS

On Monday we had music Monday in the gym. We were on a live webcast watching kids all over Canada singing and dancing. Chris Hadfield sang the Music Monday song. Is called ISS it stands for the international space station. It’s not an awesome song but it’s okay. We also got to do MATH I was so excited. We were working on division. We started it last week but it least we got to do more on it.  We also worked on our expert project in the computer lab. I am studying dance.

On Tuesday we had math in math we worked on some more division. We use division in our everyday lives it pretty cool. We also had gym. I forgot what we did but I think we worked with basketballs. We also had choir. In choir we sang a song called “colors of the wind”. It is from the movie Pocahontas. We also had our science quiz I was the first to finish and I was very confident with my answers. We also had French we worked on practicing our script for our presentation. 

On Wednesday I was sick and didn’t go to school.

On Thursday we did poetry. It was called a list poem. A list poem is like a grocery list. It pretty cool and we use it like every day. We had French too. Madison and I got to do our French. Ms.Daraska said we did really good. I am so happy. We also had gym and library. In gym we played a fun basketball game and in library well I got to sit on a beanbag!

On Friday we did our roof top photo. We were out there for quite a bit. We are also doing our TWAS. We will have music. In math I am guessing we will work on division. We will have book buddies my book buddies name is Rylan. He is really nice. We might also have health. Yay!!

Patrol of the Month: April

Congratulations to Jayden for being recognized as one of the Patrols of the Month for the month of April. It's awesome to see so many Room 31 students taking on leadership roles at BHS!

Talented kids in Room 31!

We have an amazing group of students in Room 31! Not only do they work hard at school, they are dedicated outside of school too! There are several students that are involved in sports, dance, and music activities. Today, Jacqueline shared a special recognition with us . . . .

In December I had a scholarship competition against my orchestra. My orchestra goes up from grade 3 to grade 10 I won the scholarship competition. I was against lots of people from my orchestra. There are three orchestras my orchestra is the junior orchestra and I play the violin. In April I had a concert at the Centennial Concert Hall, but before the concert there was an awards ceremony. I got my money there and I was supposed to get a plaque but yesterday I got it instead. It was so exciting! Today I showed the class my plaque!
